Makes me wonder who "mom" is. Mother Nature, perhaps?

Alright, so in Ancient Israelite religion, Adonai (as El) did have a consort, Asherah. Over time, as the Israelite religion developed from polytheism to monolatrism to monotheism, the veneration of Asherah was suppressed and ultimately by the 2nd Century BC was erased. This progression is most evident (especially in the Hebrew original and Greek Septuagint translation) of what Christians call the Old Testament and what Jews call the Tanakh. The evolution of the religion mostly killed the idea of a wife for God. Mostly.
Obviously, Jesus’s Mom is Mary, the Theotokos or God-bearer. (Baptists especially hate this particular portion of traditional Christian theology.) However, Mary is very much not God’s wife. So does God have one?
The answer is almost always no, but not if you ask the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! While Heavenly Mother, as they call her, is rarely referred to and not a consistent part of Church teaching, her existence has been referred to since the visions of Joseph Smith, and it is consistent with the Church’s very family-focused theology. Ultimately, a Latter-day Saint might be better able to educate us on that particular topic, as I’m not one myself.
Anyway, that was a brief theology lesson that no on asked for about a silly comic. I am in the mood to play some Doom now, though, so at least there’s that!

The Lord works in mysterious ways. Uses more racial slurs online than you'd expect, too.

OG Doom is pretty playable with a controller since you only have to aim left and right.
But the proper way to play it is keyboard only, of course.

Idk why there's this notion in the comments that Christians are against these kind of video games or video games in general. I fucking love doom

Because back when Doom came out, and to an extent still to this day, some christians, the more vocal bible thumper variety who've never actually read the thing, were against any demonic imagery, even if you were slaughtering the demons etc.

I can’t believe people thought games like this and Cuphead were offensive before. As a Christian, any game where I can beat the crap out of a demon in hell is a 10/10
