If only one of them was in a position to do something about the bot problem. Or had promised to do so in the past.

It's been obvious that Musk and whoever is left at X is completely inept at dealing with the problem

Almost every day there's a new like/list spam bot, often with the "verified" mark

I disagree. I don’t think they’re inept at dealing with it. Twitter had a (very imperfect) way. They trashed it.

This is just “don’t blame me” PR. He’s shocked there’s gambling going on in his establishment. Nothing will be done because things are going as intended.
